Frederic Franzil

Frédéric Franzil is an actor/director, having worked fairly quickly in cinema under the direction of Paul Vecchiali and Jacques Nollot, without however abandoning the theater.

In order to enrich his art, he went into exile in Australia and the Czech Republic to learn the Meisner technique, which allowed him to confront and open up to new horizons, notably alongside Luke Ford (Animal Kingdom, The Black Balloon), Brian Caspe (Hellboy, The Illusionist, etc.)

Back in France, he taught at the Théâtre de la Pépinière and continued his artistic exploration under the direction of Igor Skreblin, Océane Mozas, Jocelyn Lagarrigue and Simon Abkarian.

In the theatre he has appeared in plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Aeschylus, Chekhov, etc.

While continuing his work as an actor today, he teaches the Meisner technique and sets up various artistic projects with young adults with disabilities within the Compagnie de la traversée, of which he is one of the founders, in order to defend committed and popular theatre.
